Friday April 25

Kevin Skipworth has dedicated the walk to the memory of Elise's mother who passed away in 2007. She was a Carlise girl who moved to Newcastle, but probably took an easier route than Kevin did.

Started walking at Wall near Chollerford, have attached a rather ropey video of start, press play button to view any problems pls e mail Bill Gates.

Weather fine most of day with a few showers.

Welcome to a few newcomers who joined us for the walk including Mike Lane, Anne Eggleston, Barry & his uncle. Thks to sandra Lane for assisting with logistics.

Walk was along the B6318 for many miles with a welcome exit to Heddon on the wall where we have posted a picture of the last bit of wall remaining nearest to Newcastle. Then down to the Tyne and along to Keelmans lodge Newburn.

Fines: Blogmeister for too many details about previous experiences of sharing a double bed with a fella!

Ann Eggleston, matching shades and socks.

Nigel Terrett, singing Flowers of Scotland and Bread of Heaven with witnesses.

Chris Jerman, unprofessional van driving, didn't leave engine running for 20 minutes whilst loading.

Rob Foster, leaving pub on Thursday at 2300 with a fit looking lady he had just met inside, returning 30 minutes later to the hotel with a smile on his face.

Mike Lane with an aussie Kangaroo herders hat, G'day cobber that's a pound.
